Sigismund I the Old, Half-penny 1516, Vilnius - Rings under and over the Pogo - very rare
Variety with Pogo without sword scabbard on obverse and Eagle with upper feathers pointing to Eagle's head on reverse.
Inscribed variety with abbreviated date I6 on obverse.
Variety with two rings under the horse's belly and above the rump - very rare.
Condition: 2
Slight disc defect resulting in local deficiency of the rim, but a very nicely preserved coin. Delicate, charming patina. Gloss and lots of mint mirror. A very rare and undervalued variety with a ring below and above the Pogo. A very rare and difficult coin to find on the collector market. A beautiful piece for specialized collections.
