Rare organisational badge associated with the Lesser Poland Society for the Promotion of Horse Breeding in Lwów, one of the most important horse breeding and racing institutions operating in Galicia. Founded in 1843, the Society was established to promote and improve horse breeding through the organisation of horse races, performance trials, auctions, and various initiatives aimed at enhancing the quality of domestic bloodstock. From the late 19th century onwards, it operated the racecourse at Persenkówka in Lwów, one of the leading horse racing venues in southern and eastern Poland.

It is a rare surviving memento of an organisation that played a significant role in the development of horse breeding and horse racing in historic Galicia for nearly a century.
