One of the rarer bracteates of Leszek the White.
According to Witold Garbaczewski, the depicted iconography is modeled after Brandenburg coins, possibly those of Otto II (1184–1205).
The three rings to the right of the knight likely represent the name OTTO.
The turret to the left of the knight, on the other hand, probably serves as a territorial symbol.
Minted in Kraków (or possibly Sandomierz).
A very nice piece, with a mint luster and a delicate patina.
Minor imperfections on the coin.
We highly recommend it.
Obverse: a knight in helmet and armor standing facing forward, holding a sword and a gonfanon; in the right field, three rings; in the left field, a tower and a wheel with four spokes
