Witold Zanfos— He graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw and the Faculty of Architecture at the Warsaw University of Technology. In 1963, he moved permanently to Paris, where he began an intensive creative and design practice. From 1965 to 1971, he collaborated with Jan Karczewski and Michel Lefebvre, forming the MIASTO Group—a collective focused on concepts for futuristic urban structures and visions of cities of the future. His works and projects have been recognized on numerous occasions. Among other accolades, he won first prize at the Paris Biennale in 1965 and was twice awarded the Grand Prix d’Architecture et d’Urbanisme in Cannes—in 1969 and 1970. For many years, he worked as an urban planner in France, developing designs for public buildings, housing complexes, and large-scale urban layouts.
