An estate with a long and interesting history, dating back to the 16th century, and an absolutely passionate present and future. More than once during the existence of Chateau Haut-Bailly the wines from here were considered the best and most expensive in the region. Today, the estate is managed by Veronique Sanders and Robert Wilmers, and together they work in a state-of-the-art winery, allowing them to make extremely precise vinemaking and to create excellent wines. We will have to discuss all the threads that led to the estate's present shape later, while now we will focus on the contents of the collector's set on offer.
2015 and 2016 are among the group of the best vintages in the history of the estate. The estate and not only, as both are considered in the category of exceptional for the entire region. The former is a bit fuller, juicier, while the latter refers to classic patterns instead. Both bottles are housed in a striking case accompanied by the work of master calligrapher Shuo Yuan. Wine has always functioned at the edge of art, and this set shows how easy it is to make further connections. Sampling any of such successful vintages of Haut-Bailly is sure to evoke similar emotions as communing with the most beautiful art.
