Oil painting on stretched canvas depicting a glimpse of a forest with a flower-filled clearing in the foreground. The work is executed using a textural painting technique and loose brushstrokes in the Impressionist style, characterized by a palette dominated by dark shades of green, brown, and ochre that lend an atmospheric depth to the composition. The reverse side of the canvas reveals a traditional wooden stretcher with tension wedges at the corners. A dark-colored rectangular reinforcement insert is visible on the back of the canvas in the lower left corner (photo 4). The work is presented in a modern dark-wood frame, complemented by a mat lined with raw jute-like canvas and a white inner border. In the lower right corner, there is a signature painted in dark pigment in block letters; it is not clearly legible due to shadows and photographic contrast, but appears to read “STAN TULY” (photos 5 and 6).
Dimensions of the visible portion: 51.5 cm x 41.5 cm.
