Lot description
A humorous pair of porcelain teapots comes from the Prague Porcelain Factory, made around 1840. The figural teapots depict a man and a woman in folk dress - the man holds snuff and the woman a purse. The decanters are hand painted with fine gilded details, with elegantly shaped handles. This type of porcelain was popular during the Biedermeier period, when humorous figurative vessels were often produced for both decorative and practical use.more photos
