Plater; height 13.5 cm.
France, Saint Denis near Paris, 1st quarter of the 20th century.
Pear-shaped body, smooth; engraved on the body with a bound monogram ("APS"?). Pair of handles on the sides. Domed lid, with a spherical helm.
On the underside, the company marking: "CHRISTOFLE" and design number: "1230022".
One of the most prominent French plating companies. Its popularity is evidenced by the fact that all plating products are referred to colloquially in France: "du Christofle". In Poland, a similar situation applies to the Warsaw-based Fraget company, whose products (but also plateware of other companies) are called "fraget".
