He has been involved in photography since 1962, traveling in many countries. He stayed twice in the USA as a scholarship holder, in 1979. Kosciuszko Foundation, and in 1988 of the Department of State. From 1971 to 1997, he taught photography to students at the Institute of Archaeology at Jagiellonian University. The artist prefers portrait and landscape. He specializes in photographing works of art. He is the author of photographs for albums in the "Museums of the World" series, as well as two monographic, author albums about the Princes Czartoryski Museum in Cracow. Between 1987 and 1990 he documented the activities of Tadeusz Kantor's Cricot 2 theater. Since 1985, he has been taking photographs in rubber technique, which has resulted in numerous exhibitions at home and abroad. Since 1991, he has been a member of the European Association of Pictorialists, based in Brussels. He cooperates with numerous magazines at home and abroad, publishing cultural photos and portraits. For a certain period he was associated with TV Krakow, taking part in programs on photography.
His works were presented in more than 40 solo exhibitions, shown in Poland, and abroad, including in the USA, Canada, France, Austria, Belgium, Switzerland, Israel and Czechoslovakia. His works are in the collections of the International Center of Photography and the Museum of Modern Art in New York, the Library of Congress of the United States in Washington, D.C., the Musee d'Art et d'Histoire in Fribourg, Switzerland, the Museum of Modern Art in Lodz, the National Museum in Wroclaw, the Jagiellonian University Museum and the Museum of the History of Photography in Krakow, as well as numerous private collections at home and abroad.
