Biography
Monika's fascination for working with ceramics began with her first contact with soft clay . Shapeless mass at first allowed to capture the creations of a child's imagination, today it is a way to transfer emotions into a functional dimension. Since 2017, she has been running an open workshop in Warsaw, where she has focused on small series of vessels made from dyed porcelain and precious metals. She is inspired, but not literally, by Japanese gestural art and everyday objects. Her designs give shapes new meaning and significance. She also creates vessels using decals, which she makes in the traditional way using the screen-printing technique. She has participated in exhibitions and study tours in New York, Hungary, Great Britain, Belgium and Portugal, among others. The works find regular buyers in Europe, the United States, Japan, the Arab Emirates and Australia.
