His artistic work includes painting, printmaking, drawing. Jazz musician (saxophonist). In artistic projects, including "Transcriptions", "Tone, Code, Harmony", he combines music and visual arts into one. He is currently an assistant professor in the Department of Painting, Drawing and Sculpture at the Faculty of Art of the Pedagogical University in Cracow. Excerpt from the evaluation of the habilitation dissertation of Dr. Marek Batorski, written by Prof. Jaroslaw Modzelewski at the Faculty of the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw: The artist's plastic vocabulary is adapted to the structure of the creation of a musical work in terms of the tools of a painting work - paints and brushes. The artist is strongly focused on the sensual aspect of the painting process and it is the reaction to music, especially jazz music. The musical work is realized in time, following the sound of the instrument , one can imagine a painting performance of synchronous image formation, the effect must be exactly what Marek Batorski's paintings give. The artistic output of Dr. Marek Batorski is very rich, testifying to his passion and intense involvement in exhibition and popularization activities.
