The lithograph, published by Piotr Piller, was part of the work "Galicyja w obrazach czyli Galerya litografowanych widoków, okolic i najakomitszych zabytków w Galicyi z opisaniem obrazów w języku polskim i niemieckim", published in Lwow over the years 1837-1838, at Piotr Piller's lithographic workshop.
He was engraved by Karol Auer (ca. 1818-after 1858), a lithographer and draughtsman, probably of Czech origin.Surviving written sources unanimously confirm that in the 1830s he settled for work in Lviv. He continued his work for the next 20 years. He cooperated with Piller's lithographic workshop. In his work he made a considerable number of lithographs, according to his own and other people's ideas. Among others, A. Gorczynski, Antoni Lange, Juliusz Kossak. Very rarely did he provide drawings to other printmakers. [bio after wikipedia.pl].
