"Retreat" is a work exploring the issue of loneliness perceived as an existence consisting primarily of uncertainty-filled waiting, set in the present, which is full of increasingly weakening human ties.
An anonymous heroine persists in an undefined space. She stands suspended, because although she expresses the purposefulness of waiting with her pose, she is in a space outside of time.
