Stanislaw KARNIEWSKI

Studied in Warsaw with K. Krzyzanowski and from 1920 at the School of Fine Arts with K. Tiche; studied printmaking in 1935-37 with Z. Stankiewiczówna and I. Łopieński. He was a member of the TZSP from 1925, where he exhibited from 1926 - 39, and participated in the international exhibition in Berlin in 1937. He painted portraits and landscapes, and animals were also a frequent subject of his works - numerous studies of horses and zoo animals.
