Biography
In 1983, she graduated from the Constantin Brancusi State High School of Fine Arts in Szczecin. In 1991, she earned a degree in Art History from the University of Wrocław. From 2018 to 2020, she studied painting in the postgraduate program at the Eugeniusz Geppert Academy of Fine Arts in Wrocław. The artist is interested in the analysis of color, line, and structure. In her work, she plays with understatement, sometimes concealing the obvious. She works in oil and acrylic on canvas, as well as using mixed media. In her paintings, she focuses on nature and the human figure—its gestures, movement, and gaze. Nature is one of the main themes of her work. The artist strives to capture a moment of her emotional state frozen in time, full of elation and reflection. Her compositions are based on simple juxtapositions of contrasting colors, which lend expressiveness to the tones and build the atmosphere of the painting.
Her works are held in private collections in Poland, Germany, the U.S., Taiwan, Australia, and Switzerland. She currently lives and works in Opole.
