Mieczyslaw Andrzej Wasilewski (born 1942 in Warsaw) is a Polish graphic artist and university teacher. Between 1960 and 1966, he studied at the Faculty of Painting and Graphic Arts at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, and in 1966 received his diploma in the poster studio of Prof. Henryk Tomaszewski. In 1977 he received his doctoral degree and in 1984 his postdoctoral degree, while in 1991 he was awarded the title of professor in plastic arts. After Prof. Tomaszewski's retirement, he took over the independent Graphic Design Studio for students of the Department of Workshop Graphics. He worked at the Academy of Fine Arts until September 2014. In 1981-1982 he taught at the University of Damascus, in 1989 at the School of Design in Offenbach (Germany) and in 1991-1992 at the Institute of Applied Arts in Rovaniemi (Finland). He taught at art colleges in Helsinki, Finland; Arnhem, Groningen and The Hague, the Netherlands; Guadalajara, Mexico; Santiago and La Serna, Chile; and Montreal, Canada. From 1997 to 2011, he also ran the graphics and poster studio at the European Academy of Arts in Warsaw. Since 2011, he has taken a job at the University of Applied Computer Science and Management in Warsaw (now WIT Academy). From 1981 to 1982 he taught at the University of Damascus, in 1989 at the College of Design in Offenbach (Germany) and from 1991 to 1992 at the Institute of Applied Arts in Rovaniemi (Finland). He taught at art colleges in Helsinki, Finland; Arnhem, Groningen and The Hague, the Netherlands; Guadalajara, Mexico; Santiago and La Serna, Chile; and Montreal, Canada. From 1997 to 2011, he also ran the graphics and poster studio at the European Academy of Arts in Warsaw. Since 2011, he took a job at the University of Applied Informatics and Management in Warsaw (now WIT Academy). He has worked for many years with numerous publishing houses and cultural institutions including: Artistic and Graphic Publishing House (WAG), PIW, Książka i Wiedza, Nasza Księgarnia, PWE, PWRiL and Centrala Wynajmu Filmów. His graphics were present in magazines, including "Perspektywy" (1969-1974) and "Problems" (1969-1994). For the Polish Post Office, he designed stamps, cards and FDC envelopes.
