German 1937 Recklinghausen NSDAP Meeting Borken-Bocholt Tinnie
According to the local historical chronicle Dorsten Lexikon, approximately 10,000 party members and uniformed forces attended this particular congress in April 1937. They represented as many as 64 local groups (Ortsgruppen) from the Recklinghausen district and neighboring Borken-Bocholt (hence the presence of both names on the edges of the badge). For these two days, the town of Dorsten was completely decorated with swastika flags, and official demonstrations, military marches, and political speeches were held in the market square.
