Lot information
Originally from Algeria, the Kabyle sword flyssa is a traditional slashing and stabbing weapon used by the Kabyle tribes in the 19th century. The blade is one-sidedly ground, slightly curved with a gradually tapering tip, which enables both slashing and stabbing attacks. The surface of the blade bears the characteristic etching and brass inlay decoration, which often contains geometric and zoomorphic motifs typical of Berber culture. Dimensions
