Lot information
A pair of Béringer system breeches, made around 1840, housed in a wooden case with non-original green felt padding. Both pistols are signed on the upper side with the main inscription "J. Lhotsky in Prag." These are breechblocks with a percussion locking mechanism and octagonal steel barrels. The front sights are of the simple type. The stocks are made of dark wood, fitted with a fine dovetail and finished in steel lugs. The metal parts are decorated with delicate engravings with vegetative motifs.
