Porcelain, enamel paints; signed in green on base: in triangle "Ć", below: Ćmielów/Made/In Poland. The figure was designed by Jozef Szewczyk (1910-1987) in 1938. Dimensions: H: 23.5 cm, L. 21 cm, width: 10 cm.
Skier skiing down a hill, beige cap and skis, blue striped scarf. The figurine was designed in 1938 by Jozef Szewczyk, a graduate of the State School of Artistic Industry in Cracow, a student of Tadeusz Szafran, for the 1939 FIS World Championship in Zakopane. This model was often repeated after the war. Unw. crack at the right stick (back), in the back of the un. blemish visible in the photo. Good condition.
