Henri Joseph Léon Baudrillart (b. 1821, d. 1892) - French economist.
Henri was educated at the College Bourbon, and in 1852 was appointed assistant lecturer in political economy to M. Chevalier at the College de France. In 1866, after a new chair of economic history was created, Baudrillart was appointed to the position. His first work was Eloge de Turgot (1846), which immediately caught the attention of economists. In 1853 he published the erudite work Jean Bodin et son temps; then in 1857 the work Manuel d'économic politique offered here; in 1860 Des rapports de la morale et de l'économie politique; in 1865 La Liberté du travail; and from 1878 to 1880 L'Histoire du luxe depuis Fantiquité jusqu'd nos jours, in four volumes.
