A nice piece. Binding: half leather and linen on maroon face, gilt lettering and decorations, decorative boards. Contains: vol. 1: Ancient history of mankind and the history of the states of the East; vol. 2: Greek history; vol. 3: Roman history; vol. 4: Byzantium and the early Middle Ages; vol. 5: Religious wars and absolutism; vol. 6: From the great revolution to the world war; vol. 7 in this piece has been numbered 1 and 2: The Great War. Some rubbing and dustiness to cloth covers, otherwise very good condition. Among the exceptional rarity are the preserved original paper wrappers, here with non-existent tears, underlinings and losses; one wrapper is missing for part 2 of volume 6 (the missing wrapper was copied based on part 1 of volume 6).
