Jerzy MISZALSKI

b. 1930

Studied with Szczepan Skorupka and Waclaw Prusak. Educated as a surveyor, cartographer, doctor of geographical sciences (studied at the University of Poznan, Warsaw University of Technology and the Military University of Technology). He is most fond of painting landscapes, often documenting vanishing objects of folk, sacred and defensive architecture. He has presented his paintings in more than seventy group exhibitions and nearly seventy individual exhibitions at home and abroad, including in France, Canada, Germany, Switzerland and countries of the former USSR. His creative achievements have been honored with prestigious awards: Prize of the Minister of Culture and Art Second Degree (1978, 1979) and Golden Palette at the 14th International Salon of Contemporary Art in Revin, France.
