Piotr Wisla was born on September 8, 1958 in Bielsko-Biała. In 1978 he graduated from the State High School of Fine Arts in Bielsko-Biala, majoring in artistic weaving. He began studying at the Institute of Art Education at the Silesian University in Katowice, Cieszyn Branch, specializing in painting in 1981. He defended his diploma under the direction of Associate Professor Zenon Moskwa and Dr. Katarzyna Olbrycht in 1985. He deals with applied graphics, painting and drawing. He is the author of many projects and realizations in the field of posters, books, illustrations and overall visualizations.
