A BADGE WITH TWO WORLD WAR I DECORATIONS—THE IRON CROSS, 2ND CLASS, 1914, AND THE HINDENBURG CROSS WITH SWORDS

A German ribbon consisting of two decorations related to service in World War I.
The set includes:
Iron Cross, 2nd Class, 1914 (Eisernes Kreuz 2. Klasse 1914) – a Prussian military decoration awarded for bravery and combat merit during World War I
World War 1914–1918 Honor Cross for Front-Line Soldiers (Ehrenkreuz für Frontkämpfer) – the so-called Hindenburg Cross with swords, established in 1934 for veterans who participated directly in frontline operations
The decorations are mounted on their original ribbons and assembled into a bar designed to be worn on a uniform or dress uniform. The set illustrates how German veterans displayed their World War I decorations during the interwar period.
