Biography
She studied for a year at the Faculty of Arts at the University of Zielona Góra. In 2006, she graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Poznań. After graduation, she returned to her hometown. She began gaining popularity while still a student. Critics took notice of her at the “Art Poznań 2005” art fair. She has had several solo exhibitions, including one at the Zderzak Gallery in Kraków. Alongside Polish artists already considered classics, she represented our country in 2005 at the Art Forum fair in Berlin. In 2006, her works were featured in a group exhibition at the “Terra Polska” festival of young culture and art in Munich. From December 2006 to February 2007, Basia Bańda’s paintings were on display alongside those of 60 of Poland’s most famous painters at the Zachęta in Warsaw as part of the exhibition “21st-Century Polish Painting.”
