Architect, painter. During World War II, he was a soldier in the Grey Ranks and the Home Army and a participant in the Warsaw Uprising. In 1958 he graduated from the Faculty of Architecture at the Gdansk University of Technology. He worked in the profession until 1964. Then he devoted himself to painting. He became a member of the Association of Polish Artists. His works were exhibited at numerous exhibitions at home and abroad. In the 1960s, while working in a design office, he came into contact with Joanna Chmielewska. As a result of this acquaintance, he became the prototype of the character of Les Kubajek - the main character of the novel Lesio, published in 1973. Lech Jakubiak revealed his identity with the character only in 2002, during one of his exhibitions.
