Tomasz Psuja studied at the State Higher School of Fine Arts in Poznań. He received his diploma in 1981 in painting and graphics in the studio of Prof. Eugeniusz Markowski. He then began teaching, achieving the title of professor of plastic arts. At the same time, he developed his artistic activities. He created collages, which consisted of hundreds of computer printouts, cut out and arranged in a specific order on canvas, thus creating his own world. These paintings were called "space-time" paintings. As Jaromir Jedlinski emphasized in the introduction to the exhibition's catalog at Poznan's Arsenal, "they [were] constructed using computer printouts, photocopies, paper and canvas stretched on para-segmented painting looms - usually reaching large formats, the paintings remain nameless."
