The painting operates with a variation of perception that depends on the angle of view. The depicted eye functions in two states simultaneously - open and closed - creating a visual superposition. The structure of the composition based on vertical divisions alludes to Thomas Young's two-slit experiment, in which the interference of light results from the overlapping of wave states. The key element of reference is the role of measurement (identified here with the eye), which through interaction reveals one of the possible states of the image. In this view, the image becomes an observer-dependent system, changing its state with the observer's position.
