Kala Robert was born in Szubin to a family of artists. In his early youth he was mainly engaged in printmaking and drawing. Later he took up easel painting and, in parallel, a mixed technique he invented, in which he uses cardboard, industrial paints, ink and acrylic paints. For some time he was fascinated by metaverism, the precursor of which was Piotr Szmitke. The premise of this idea is to create fictional personalities of artists and form hypothetical Beings. That's why for a while he signed his works with invented names, describing their biographies and working styles. Now he describes his working style as a two-way "just like that," in which he paints landscapes, still life, portraits. The second direction is "personal," in which he tries to express the metaphysical aspect of man.
