Man is mysterious, the inner tension is invisible. I try to capture them on canvas. I glue the man and my worlds, from components observed and my own. It's not that I paint dispassionately. Painting without emotion, truth, feelings, is dead. You can't wipe your brushes on the canvas. I can't paint leaving myself somewhere on the sidelines. I always get emotionally involved, feel a stir, awe or drama.
