Biography
A graduate of the Higher Studies in Photography program at the Cinematography Department of the Łódź Film School. The artist’s paintings focus on observations of everyday life, filtered through her subjective sensibility and an intense use of color. In her works, ordinary scenes—fragments of architecture, interiors, and figures—take on an emotional and symbolic dimension. A limited, high-contrast color palette lends the paintings a dreamlike aura, while the synthetic approach to depicting reality emphasizes the tension between reality and mood. Her paintings can be interpreted as a reflection on human experience, states of limbo, and the search for balance between the external and internal worlds.
The artist also works in photography. She most often photographs people. She also frequently incorporates images of plants into her photographs, drawing on the symbolism of their form, color, and stage of growth. In her work, she often addresses the issue of individual alienation in the age of consumerism and depicts the phenomenon of androgyny.
