Born in 1982. Graduated from the Faculty of Graphic Arts at the College of Applied Arts in Szczecin with a Master of Fine Arts degree (2006). She is an artist by passion and profession. She discovered her passion for painting during her studies. After several years of experimenting, she developed her own painting style. She cultivates expressive painting in which she emphasizes movement and dynamics achieved through the use of decisive strokes with a painting spatula. She applies paint thickly on her works, creating a visible structure to the painting.

The favorite subject of her work and the center of her interest is the human being, with a focus on the woman, which has resulted in a substantial collection of nudes. A characteristic feature in the paintings is the non-personification of the face, which she achieves through the use of chiaroscuro that emphasizes the basic outline of the face. More recently, the subject matter of her work has included marine, animal and abstract works.

The second sphere of Anna Stępień's work is artistic exploration in line with her profession - graphic designer. Her cooperation with the outstanding jazzman Michal Urbaniak resulted in the author's cover design for Urb Symphony (2015) and numerous graphic works for the musician. In addition, she received an honorable mention in a nationwide competition to design a credit card for Fortis Bank.
