Biography
A graduate of the Faculty of Art at the Pedagogical University of Kraków, where she earned her degree in painting in the studio of Dr. Aleksander Pieńko. From 2000 to 2010, she actively participated in numerous group exhibitions throughout Poland. She currently continues her individual artistic practice, combining painting with set design for theatrical productions. The main theme of her work is the human being, whom she depicts in a manner she describes as “the human being seen from within.” The artist most often depicts people in the form of wooden dolls, marionettes, and stone statues, allowing these symbolic representations to tell their own brief stories, frozen for a moment within the image.
