Krzysztof Brzuzan. Born in 1956 in Bolesławiec Śląski. He graduated from artistic studies at the Sculpture Department of the Krakow Academy of Fine Arts. Diploma with honors in the studio of prof. Marian Konieczny in 1980. During his studies, he received a scholarship from the Ministry of Culture and Arts for academic achievements. Takes an active part in exhibitions of the Rzeszów community and national exhibitions. His achievements include several individual exhibitions. He also practices monumental and sacred sculpture. Multiple laureate of the cyclical exhibition "Image, Graphics, Drawing, Sculpture of the Year".
His works are in private and museum collections around the world. The inhabitants of Rzeszów are well known for their bronze sculptures displayed in the city space. One can mention here the monument of Adam Mickiewicz, Jan Pakosławic, or the urchin pointing at the street lamp at the Elektromontaż office building. Krzysztof Brzuzan jokingly called this last sculpture the smallest monument to a revolutionary act. In art, he refers to many cultural tropes, great classics and folk artists.
"Therefore, I see beauty in transient things, which often degrade. I deal with recycling of art, cultural recycling. This slogan accompanies this collection. I restore the bygone world, its objects and matter. . I can still see their beauty and new values".
