"Julian Fałat is one of those few painters in our country who are mainly concerned with rendering color impressions, and who nevertheless enjoy public sympathy and recognition. This should be attributed in part also to the fact that Fałat won the first laurels abroad [...] I put forward here the name of an excellent artist, because, in my opinion, he deserves, because of his technique, a first-class place among Polish painters. [...] Fałat has an uncommon ability, testifying that this exquisite thorough draughtsman is also a painter by God's grace: he knows how to put a stain on the canvas so that it causes an illusion."
