Dialogues from “Wesoła Lwowska Fala.” A collection of 38 typewritten pages comprising scripts for radio broadcasts, including dialogues, poems, and other various texts about Lviv. Some of the typescripts were likely working drafts with corrections, annotations, and underlines. Some pages are folded; others are joined or glued together. In good condition. Dimensions: 28 to 30 cm. This collection belonged to Tadeusz Kwiatkowski, pseudonym Noël Randon (1920–2007)—a Polish prose writer, satirist, screenwriter, and author of stage texts.
Szczepko and Tońko ( Kazimierz Wajda and Henryk Vogelfänger) hosted their iconic radio shows as a duo from 1933 to 1947. Their radio career can be divided into two main phases:1933–1939 (Prewar Period): They appeared on the legendary entertainment program “Wesoła Lwowska Fala,” which debuted on nationwide radio on July 16, 1933. Broadcast from the Polish Radio station in Lviv, this program became the most popular show in prewar Poland, drawing millions of listeners to their radios. The broadcast ended with the outbreak of World War II. After the war broke out, the artists evacuated the country and continued to perform for Polish soldiers in exile. As members of the “Lwowska Fala” Field Theater Troupe, they recorded skits and radio programs in France, Scotland, and on the Western Front, among other places, entertaining General Maczek’s soldiers. Their last joint performance as a duo took place in Great Britain in 1947.
