Adam SZUBSKI (1931–2008)—sculptor and metal artist. Son of Stefan Szubski—a renowned Polish goldsmith, metal artist, and designer of applied art. Adam Szubski created small-scale and large-scale metal sculptures as well as unique pieces of applied art. He had ties to Masuria since 1972. Together with his wife, Anna Sierpińska-Szubska, he founded “Nasz Zgon,” through which he mobilized the local community. Since the 1970s, he exhibited in Frankfurt, Munich, and Hamburg (Germany); Palermo and Florence (Italy); and Rotterdam (the Netherlands). Stockholm and Gothenburg (Sweden), Vienna (Austria), and in Poland. He was a member of the Association of Polish Visual Artists.
