拍品说明
Richard Henry Nibbs, an English painter born in Brighton, was originally a cellist. He did not devote himself entirely to marine painting until 1840, following an inheritance. At low tide, the fishing boats are moored on the beach. The fish caught is probably being transported away on the cart in the foreground. In the distance, a steamer is heading for the coast. A diffuse light from the low sun soaks the sky, sea and landscape., Oil on wood, 21 × 30 cm
