Halina Jadwiga Józefowicz (Sister Aniela), Resurrectionist nun. She was born in Tsaritsyn on the Volga River (now Volgograd). In 1917 she graduated from the Russian Female Gymnasium there, as well as from the Secondary Music School. In 1919-1921 she studied at the Faculty of Fine Arts at Stefan Batory University in Vilnius, and in 1923 she began studying at the School of Fine Arts in Warsaw. Her teachers included Mieczysław Kotarbiński, Stanisław Noakowski, Edward Trojanowski (decorative painting), Edmund Bartłomiejczyk, Władysław Skoczylas (artistic graphics) and Tadeusz Pruszkowski (painting). She entered the order in 1924.From September 1926, she continued her artistic studies at the Warsaw School of Fine Arts, graduating in June 1928.She then left for Czestochowa, where she took a job as a teacher of drawing and advertising at the Female Industrial and Commercial School of the Sisters of the Resurrection. The Factory of Ceramic Products "Czyn" operated in Czestochowa since November 1945 and was engaged in creating modern objects of religious worship. For almost eight years of operation, the trained artists working there, including Wanda Szrajberówna, Zofia Trzcińska-Kamińska, Sister Aniela Józefowicz and the well-known Częstochowa Pospieszalski family - Donata and Stanisław, developed many new designs for religious figures and reliefs and refined the old models. Everything was made by hand, with attention to quality. The factory was closed in 1953 for political and economic reasons.
The item was included in the retrospective exhibition "Czyn-iac beauty. Activities of the Częstochowa Ceramic Products Factory "Czyn""" , which was held in the "Gallery of Good Art" from April 23 to September 16, 2022, the Gallery is a branch of the Częstochowa Museum.
