Biography
Monika’s fascination with working with ceramics began with her first encounter with soft clay. At first, the shapeless mass allowed her to capture the products of her childhood imagination; today, it is a way to translate emotions into a functional form. Since 2017, she has run an open studio in Warsaw, where she has focused on small series of vessels made from colored porcelain and precious metals. She draws inspiration—though not literally—from Japanese gestural art and everyday objects. Her designs imbue forms with new meaning and significance. She also creates tableware using decals, which she produces using traditional screen-printing techniques. She participates in exhibitions and study trips, including in New York, Hungary, the United Kingdom, Belgium, and Portugal. Her works have a loyal following in Europe, the United States, Japan, the United Arab Emirates, and Australia.
