Biography
Painter and photographer, curator, juror for painting competitions. Born in 1978 in Łódź. Bachelor’s degree in painting from the studio of Prof. Ryszard Hunger at the Faculty of Graphic Arts and Painting of the Academy of Fine Arts in Łódź (2003); Ph.D. from the Faculty of Painting at the University of Arts in Poznań (2011); Habilitation at the Department of Painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdańsk (2014). From 2003 to 2012, he served as an assistant and later as an assistant professor in the painting and drawing studio at the Faculty of Textiles and Fashion at the Academy of Fine Arts in Łódź. Since 2012, he has headed the Painting Studio at the Faculty of Painting of the Academy of Art in Szczecin; since 2014, he has held the position of associate professor. Author of, among others, the following series of works: “Portraits from Memory,” “Alchemy of Illusion,” “Is It Safe?,” “Yang!,” “There Is Less Time Left Than It Seems,” “Irreversible,” and “Saudade.” He has participated in over 50 solo and group exhibitions, including at the Contemporary Museum in Wrocław, the Museum of the History of the City of Łódź, the Bielska BWA Gallery, the National Museum in Szczecin, and the Center for Polish Sculpture in Orońsko.
