Mikalojus Radvila Rudasis (1512-1584) - one of the most famous noblemen of the GDL, Grand Hetman and Chancellor of Lithuania. He was an influential politician, a fierce supporter of Protestantism, and a contributor to the development of the Evangelical Reformation in Lithuania. Radvila Rudasis actively opposed the Lublin Union, which sought a closer union between Lithuania and Poland. He is also known as an educated and politically astute figure who was concerned about the preservation of Lithuanian statehood.
