"The drawing comes from the artist's sketchbook bearing on the "title" pasteboard the author's? number XXXII - written with a brush and light blue ink, next to which is written in pencil the date 1872 - probably secondary, referring to the only dated work by Jacek Malczewski, bearing the date of day and year 29 February / 1872".

Attached to the drawing is a confirmation of authenticity made by the Art Consultant Agency of Adam Konopacki, dated December 10, 2004.
