Biography
In 1938, she began her studies at the Academy of Fine Arts in Kraków under P. Dadlez and K. Sichulski. She then studied at the Kunstgewerbeschule under F. Pautsch from 1940 to 1942, and in 1945 resumed her studies at the Academy of Fine Arts in Kraków under, among others, E. Eibisch, W. Taranczewski, and A. Jurkiewicz, among others. From 1948 onward, she taught easel and monumental painting. She was a co-founder of T. Kantor’s Underground Theater. She was a member of the Young Artists’ Group and is currently a member of the Second Kraków Group. She has received numerous awards, including the First-Class Award from the Ministry of Culture and Art (1984), the Witold Wojtkiewicz Award, and the City of Kraków Award (1997). Her paintings can be viewed, among other places, at the National Museum in Warsaw, Wrocław, Kraków, and Szczecin.
