Mythological scene depicting two satyrs (forest deities with goat legs) and a goat. One satyr is dancing and the other is playing a flute or trumpet.
The work is characterized by simplified, flowing lines and vivid, flat colors, typical of Picasso's later style and linocut technique, which enforced bold cuts.Picasso even had a goat named Esmeralda, whom he adored and who was often the muse for his works, as seen in this representation.
