Before the war, there was a thriving furniture industry (more than 100 factories) in the town of Nowe in the Secular district. Thanks to the fair of 1938, it was possible to disseminate products, increased exports (England, Switzerland), but also gained more interest in the domestic market (Warsaw). After the success of the earlier year, the Fair was organized again in 1939.
