Szymborska W. - Handwritten die-cut of 14 VI 2000.

[SZYMBORSKA Wisława, pastedown]. Handwritten "pastedown" of Wislawa Szymborska with correspondence addressed to Danuta Herbert-Ulam in Paris, dated. 16 VI 2000 in Cracow.
Sheet of stiff cream paper form. 10.4x14.7 cm. On one side pasted over an antique sculpture cut out from a magazine, depicting the head of a wise man, eyes glued shut. On the back handwritten correspondence signed "Visława". Szymborska is worried about the long silence of the addressee: "I'm anxious to see if you're having any health problems again." She mentions a "funny book" sent two months earlier ("I don't know if it has arrived") and a catalog of engravings sent by separate mail. Preserved original envelope addressed by the author's hand, with a sticker with an address at Piastowska Street in Cracow. Very good condition.
