Against a light, cool background, a vast dark-brown structure dominates, clearly heavier than the space surrounding it. The painting is based on the contrast between weight and emptiness. The abstract structure may bring to mind an organism or matter undergoing a violent metamorphosis—an association particularly close to Lenica’s mature compositions, whose forms were often interpreted through the lens of organic transformation.
