Antonina Slobodchikova - born 07.04.1979, lives and works in Minsk. 1998-2004 she studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Belarus at the Department of Monumental Painting. From 1994-1998 she studied at the Glebov Higher School of Art at the Faculty of Painting. She works in various media: painting, printmaking, installation, video. She takes up the themes of motherhood, identification, gender in the context of feminist practices; she deals with death, memory, archiving of time, subordination of power in various aspects - personal experience, social stereotypes or history of society.
